The City Divided

The City Divided is a 4-piece pop-metal band from Hertfordshire. After being born in January 2009 from the ashes of a number of different local bands, we put all focus into creating a dynamic set showing technicality while mixing in catchy hooks that are accessible to everyone.

We have developed our own style with a fusion of brutal riffs, hard-hitting beatdowns, choruses that will be in your head for days and melodic harmonies.

In our first 9 months, we played as many shows as possible around the country before recording our debut EP with Stu Rolls at Lucid Cut Productions in late September.

In December 2010, we recorded our first single "Blue" with Dan Lancaster (Proceed) which is available on iTunes and Spotify as well as on CD. In February 2011; we filmed the video for this single with Carl Shanahan (previous clients include Never Means Maybe, Mudvayne).

Over the years, we have played with bands such as We Are The Ocean, My Passion, Fell Silent, From Grace and Paige. We have held our own whilst amazing audiences with our energetic stage show.
